What if I told you that you could make money or earn gift cards just by scanning receipts that you got from going grocery shopping, buying Starbucks, or getting gas? Let me guess, you think this is a scam.. right? Here’s the fun part about my blog. Everything on here is something I actually use. Let’s jump right in.

Receipt Pal

Receipt Pal is probably one of the easiest apps EVER to use. You simply scan your receipt and earn points. Every 4 receipts will get you 100 points. Once you have enough points, you can cash them in towards an Amazon e-gift card or a Retail e-gift card.

You can also earn points for referring new users. You can earn up to 6,250 points per month! Click here Receipt Pal to create your account.

Fetch Rewards

Fetch Rewards has three different ways to earn points.

1) You can link your Amazon account and your email to scan for e-receipts. The app will scan for these receipts automatically after you link the accounts.

2) Scan your receipts to earn points. You will earn points for most receipts. In addition, there are offers in the app where you can earn even more points. For example, on my app right now if I purchase 3 packs of Huggies Diapers this month, I can earn 3,000 points. I have a 7 month old, need I say more?

3) Refer a friend. Get 2,000 points for every friend you refer! Your friend will also get 2,000 points when they scan their first receipt! Use my refer code and we’ll both get 2,000 points! Click Here

Ibotta

Ibotta is a little bit different than the other apps that I’ve mentioned so far. You can earn cash back in different ways. Before I go shopping, I go through the app and add the food that I know I’m going to buy at the store.

My favorite part about Ibotta is that you can add offers for any brand of certain products. For example, if I buy apple sauce with any brand name on it, I will get 10 cents cash back. There are also many offers for name brand foods as well.

Ibotta has an “earn more” section. If you redeem a specific number of offers, you can earn additional money. For example, right now there is an offer that if I redeem 8 offers, I can earn an extra $5. Pretty easy way to earn additional cash by buying food you were going to anyway, right? Don’t forget, once you hit $20 you can cash out!

Did you know that you can use Ibotta when online shopping too? You can click on the Ibotta app, then go to the approved stores and shop through the app to earn a percentage of your total in cash back.

Finally, For every person you invite that follows through and uses the app, you get rewarded). Use my Link and get started with Ibotta today.

Checkout 51

Checkout 51 works pretty much the same way as Ibotta. You will add the offers (some can be claimed more than once). So add the offers, buy the products at the store, and then upload your receipt. That’s it!

Don’t forget to use Checkout 51 when shopping online. There is a long list of stores that you can earn cash back when making purchases you were already going to make anyway. For example, right now, if I shop through the Checkout 51 app with QVC, I can earn up to 2% cash back.

You will then be able to see receipts pending approval, how much you’ve earned the entire time you’ve had the app, and your current balance. Once you hit $20, you can cash out.

There is no referral code for Checkout 51 like the other apps have, but there are still many other great ways to earn extra cash!

Receipt Hog

On Receipt Hog, there are a few different ways to earn coins.

1) You can add accounts and earn bonuses. The three account options are Amazon, Kroger, and email.

2) Sometimes, there are surveys that come up that will ask questions about household, family, etc that can be answered for coins.

3) There is also a tab to scan receipts. Receipts earn you coins which then in turn can be redeemed for an Amazon gift card, Visa gift card, or money sent to your PayPal account.

*Need a reminder to scan receipts? There is an option for that under the settings.

There is no referral for Receipt Hog either. Check it out, you’ll love it!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my first blog post on receipt scanning apps that help you earn extra money. Keep an eye out for even more posts on saving money, earning money, and much more!

*I’m an iPhone user. These apps are definitely on the iPhone but I’m not sure about an Android. Feel free to comment if you have an Android and can confirm these apps for that operating system!
